Joy

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with a robe of righteousness."
Isaiah 61:10

Where do you find joy??
This is a question which has been bouncing through my head as of late.
I'm kind of a grouchy guy, so it just keeps bouncing even more...
It's pretty easy to say that you find joy in good things, right?
Funny jokes, funny people, $5 on the sidewalk, sleeping in... everybody gets kind of happy when they experience any of these symptoms, am I correct?
Do these 'joyful' things last forever?? Or even for long??
Well then you might say to me, "I just need to have these things all the time, then I'll always be happy!" hehe, ..., (Do you see any greed in that comment?)
Sure, we're supposed to be joyful, ..., but joyful for the right reason!
Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, Rejoice!"
Do you see any "Rejoice in your money!", or, "Rejoice in the fact that you got to sleep in and don't have to go to school today because it's Presidents day, for some weird reason you don't have school on President's day!"?
Negatory, ..., we are to rejoice in God.
The Isaiah passage at the top speaks of what God has done for us... He's given us life, and He's given us salvation, ..., He gives us grace and love each day, and we take it for granted.
Think of how amazing it is, ..., God cares about us!
So maybe we need to continually work on our attitude, to be a lot more joyful.
God has given us life that lasts forever, ..., wouldn't it be cool to have joy in that?? Forever??
