Have a Lovely Valentines Day!

I really shouldn't be writing this. I've never had a boyfriend or any kind of lover like that, so I really find it hard to relate when that topic comes up. Although, I do have a different kind of lover and His love is the best, it's amazing! Whenever I think of Him I can't help but smile and feel wonderful, that's love, isn't it? Even when I have a really horrible day and I do everything absolutely wrong, He's always right beside me. If I feel invisible to the world, there's always One who can see me exactly as I am. Isn't Christ amazing? In Psalm 94:18 it says:

"When I said, "My foot is slipping",
Your love, O Lord, supported me."

Isn't that incredible?! He's always there for you. There's this show called Smallville that I used to watch (maybe too much) and it stars a boy named Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman. Clark Kent is best friends with this other guy who we'll pretend is named Tom. Tom and Clark are super tight, they've been best friends forever. Now that Clark has gotten older and started to defend the world from evil, Tom is burdened with the secret that Clark is Superman (and Clark at the same time). After protecting Clark a million times from people who want to expose Clark as Superman, use him as a lab rat or possibly kill him, Tom gets a little stressed and moves really far away. If I was Tom I don't know how long I could hang in there either, but there is someone who does. God. In Psalm 106 it repeatedly says, "His love endures forever". He means forever. His love isn't something that leaves when life gets tough, it keeps going. In 1 Corinthians 13 there is a very detailed description of love. It's actually called the love chapter in the bible. You should read the whole thing but I'm only going to post a bit.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

and then..

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

After reading this, think about John 3:16.

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

It says that "God so loved the world". Right now, you're a part of the world and God loves you so much. He loves you so much that His Son, who was perfect, died so that you and God could have a relationship of incredible love. His love is Amazing! This Valentines day, please remember has special you are and how much God loves you. Think about where you're putting your heart. Thx. :D

My Gift by Christina Rossetti

What can I give Him
Poor as I am;
If I were a shepherd,
I would give Him a lamb.
If I were a wise man,
I would do my part.
But what can I give Him?
I will give my heart.

Happy Valentines Day!
