Sometimes God just gives us an unexpected present hey? And it's always good, no matter how it appears.
Like, sometimes the surprise may be something like a very sudden reminder that a 10 page book report has to be done by tomorrow, or an unexpected bill to pay, or maybe even your car not starting because it's too stinkin' cold outside.
Now, think of some good surprises God has given you recently?
I got a very cool surprise the other day, ..., God blessed me with a letter from a camper.
It was basically just a note telling me how he was doing, but just the fact that he mailed that letter has basically rocked my socks off.
So, how do you deal with surprises??
Do you just say, "Oh, that's neat.", or are you jumping up and down screaming like a school girl shouting "Wow God that's awesome, thank you so much!"?
People will probably think you're weird for doing that.
Do you hide and forget what God gives you?
Or do you cherish them, and use His little surprises?
It is very easy to get stuck in the pattern of going through each day, facing joy and problems without ever realizing that God is probably wanting to use every situation to make us grow closer to Him.
Maybe try paying a little bit closer attention to each surprise you get, and you will probably catch a glimpse of God working in you!
