"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
Text- Gal 5:16-25

In Genesis, God formed man from the dust of the earth. Unlike anything else God created during the six twenty-four hour days of creation. Having been created in God's image (1:26-27), and having the Holy spirit breathed into man to bring him to life (2:7), man stands uniqely in the universe. It is the breath of the spirit which animated us as mankind in the beginning. It is partly because of that breath that we are set apart and above all of God's beautiful creation.

Due to the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden, we now must suffer physical death, and have become dead to God spiritually. That is why Jesus said " Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)" Just as it was necessary for the Holy Spirit to bring us to life in the beginning of all of creation, it is also necessary for us to be made alive spiritually by the same Spirit. Without it we cannot have a relationship with our creator (Eph 2:18).

If it is only by the Spirit we can be alive to God, in relationship with Him, we must also understand that we can only live like "Christians" each day by the same Spirit helping us. We can't become God's children by our own strength (John 1:12-13), and we can't act like His children by relying on ourselves either. That is the essence of all the apostle Paul had to say about how to live the way God wants us to. We must put our energies into knowing and submitting to the Spirit of God.

Grace and peace,
Arron
