Find a Twinkle for Your Eye

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And let us rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but let us rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserverance; perserverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. ~ Romans 5:1-5

There is a lot said in this verse. Originally, I went into the back of my bible to find reference for a verse about hope and this verse definitly talks about that, but it talks about more things too, like character, faith and love. Today I had had a rather bad day, not so bad that I was suffering or anything, but bad enough and God cared. I really love it when things happen and I least expect them, it's like when I read a really good novel and end up reading 'till 3 in the morning. When God lets things jump into my day and I learn so many things and make so many connections, it's amazing. It's one of the many things that helps me keep on keeping on. I really like the last line of the excerpt above, "hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts." Doesn't this make you picture a big golden pitcher of pink and red hearts being poured out of the sky and landing on/in people everywhere? It's such a lovely thought. Sometimes it's easy to forget about those magical heart sparkles on top. DON"T! Some days can be really tough but on those days we can still find a twinkle in our eyes if we remember that this day isn't for nothing. Don't forget that God is with you all the time, there's hope yet. God Bless you and have a great day. I'm sorry this post is late, the clock just struck twelve.
