It's difficult to come up with a title....

So, I am going to start off the year of blogging with a question...
Since we don't have much time, let's just jump right into it.
Are you a living example for Christ?
Are you doing your job as a Christian?
Are you trying to achieve your full potential?
Okay, ..., so that was three questions, ..., sorry.
But honestly, ask yourself, "Am I living for God?".

"I beseech you therefore bretheren, by the mercies of God, that you present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."
Rom. 12:1

Our job as Christians is to show God's love to other people.
It's so easy to be selfish, and focus just on ourselves, and on getting through each day without too many injuries... sometimes we just try to make everybody happy and don't stand out.
Some of the people we come in contact with have some issues, and we know this, so we decide not to affiliate ourselves with them too much, we do the typical smile and nod at the dirty joke, we 'pretend' not to hear the 39 swear words that just got put out.
When people ask us why we don't want to go to their party, and why we don't drink, we beat around the bush.
Is this standing out??
We know these things they are doing is wrong, but do we always realize how much more we could do, rather than remain silent all the time?

This is a challenge for myself, and for you.
Very rarely do I not come in contact with a situation like this each day.
And ever so often I let the opportunity pass by without saying a single word.

So the challenge is, ..., Let people know who you are!
Don't be hiding when a little bit of darkness comes around.
God has given us power over evil, and a command to love our neighbors!

So, this has been brief, but hopefully something to think and pray about.
Next time somebody asks you what that WWJD bracelet on your wrist means, don't tell them it means "Walk Wise John Denver"... 'cause, that doesn't even make any sense!

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few, therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers out into the harvest field."
Matt. 9:37-38

Thanks Tim. I really appreciate being reminded that my daily life should reflect my faith. I think this is something we all need to hear more often.
